The World of Gargaunt
The setting of Living City Gargaunt (LCG) is based on the idea of exploration in a time when magic and technology fight for significance and power; where entire cities can be composed of a single sentient being.. The word that describes the setting is MAGIPUNK where Steam Punk and high fantasy meet and battle for supremacy. Ancient High elves wield graceful blades against the cold machines of the modern age. Gnome tinkerers build grand machines under the guiding eyes of Dwarvish mages. Men born blind are given sight with mechanical eyes. All of these things can be seen on the streets of almost every city.
If is exists in your mind, it exists in the setting, Gargaunt is flexible and allows a player to play what he wants. The 3.5 rules have been bent and broken in some places but story takes precedence when talking about player power. But a good rule of thumb goes If it is in a WOTC book it is in Gargaunt.
In the coming days I will be adding more to this so that my players and eventualy other may partake in this world.

Introduction:
In a bygone era there was a world known as Taris, it was a world of not too far removed from our own, based around the steam powered era of our own world. magic was rare but emminsly powerful in taris, born not from the small trickles of power of the spheres, but from inside the human spirit. Something as simple as a spark of magical fire in any other plane would devistate several city blocks and was thus tightly controlled. in this world there was a great war, no one knows how it started or how it ended, all that is know is that several large city states where born from the war. humanity huddled together in the growing darkness that was their world as the war outside their Cities consumed Taris. out of the 100's of cities that were created on six remained at the end of the war. Surrounded by blasted lands and barren earth, the cities enclosed themselfs from the outside world, folding farmland and the urban enviroment together.
For a time the cities held the last of humanity but they could not funtion forever. the greatest sages of the time came up with a controvertial plan, seal the cities and powerthem with the fickle power of the human spirit. the six where selected by vote within their own cities.
